With over 50 years’ combined experience and expertise in residential, commercial and retail developments, Andrew and his team have built some of Australia’s most awarded community developments and continue to set standards in the industry by building homes and communities that people want to live in.

Andrew’s innate ability to problem solve has enabled him to successfully source development opportunities and acquisitions, and see them from approval stage to completion. His commercial marketing acumen and practical execution experience has achieved outstanding results, with his single-minded focus and tireless work ethic constantly inspiring others.
As a professional footballer in the Australian Football League, Andrew’s honesty, courage and dependability saw him become Vice Captain of Essendon Football Club. Today, in business, his dedication and success have secured him equally high standing.
Following 10 years in the AFL, he left to pursue a business in construction and land development, working alongside some of Australia’s largest and most respected property developers. After founding the start-up Sitetech Solutions and establishing it as a proﬁtable enterprise, Andrew has turned his focus and dedication to building Wel.Co.
Dr Andrew Ashwood
General Manager – Developments
As General Manager – Developments at Wel.Co, Andrew brings a proven record of over 15 years’ experience in development management and projectengineering, both at Villa World, as well as companies such as Amex Corporation and BMD Group. Andrew has a diverse educational background with degrees in engineering, law, an MBA, and a Doctorate in finance.
Throughout his career, Andrew has managed numerous residential development projects, from small group title projects, to 7,000 lot master plannedcommunities. With a strong emphasis on getting the job done, project delivery is one of Andrew’s stand out skills, which he has demonstrated across a wide range of projects in several geographic locations. Andrew has significant experience in managing development portfolios in Qld, NSW, and Victoria and previously worked for a large publicly listed company where he was the General Manager for both NSW and Victoria.
A highly regarded project, development and business manager, at Wel.Co Andrew leads an experienced development team and the successful delivery ofprojects statewide.
General Manager – Finance
Coming from a family in the trade industry, Luke has always had a strong interest in construction and property. Throughout his career, Luke has worked in a wide variety of property related sectors, including agriculture, commercial property, infrastructure, construction and property ﬁnance.
Luke’s background as a trusted senior ﬁnancial and governance professional has seen him work with some of Melbourne’s leading property professionals, with 15 years’ senior management experience across a broad range of private and public entities including roles with nationally recognised builders and infrastructure companies. Luke’s practical experience is backed up with CPA and FGIA membership, as well as a bachelor of commerce.
General Manager – New Business
With a Bachelors Degree in Valuation and Property Management, Greg has a solid understanding of property and cashﬂow fundamentals, working in the commercial and residential valuation sector in Australia and New Zealand for over ten years.
Greg made the leap into development as an Acquisitions Manager for a local private development group, where he was involved in acquiring a number of substantial medium and high density projects. Identifying the greenﬁeld sector as his focus, Greg became Acquisitions Manager for an ASX listed developer in Victoria, where he acquired multiple projects for the company, including structured deals and landowner partnerships (Development Management Agreement). Greg was also involved in delivering many highly successful projects in the western growth corridor, from planning and sales through to construction and delivery.
As General Manager of New Business at Wel.Co, Greg uses his extensive industry network to identify strategic opportunities for Wel.Co and facilitate new areas of business and growth for the company and our clients.
